Hey guys,

Contrary to my blog name, I actually love colour and I definitely incorporate it into my outfits … from green sneakers, to yellow hoodies and pink shirts. I’m not afraid of mixing colours too … I’m not one of those people who believe in order to wear coloured shoes, the rest of the outfit must be black. I think my ability to mix colours and patterns was influenced from people living in Brooklyn. Sometimes I tell people my outfit ideas and the shock on their faces is hilarious … until they visually see it and realise that it can work. Honestly, especially during summer, don’t be afraid to mix colours … it may turn out as your best outfits.

If it isn’t obvious already, yellow (especially mustard) is in this summer. Going to Portugal, I visualised an outfit with a mustard top, with either a halterneck or crop top in mind. I really thought it would be easy find but after hours of searching online and two days galavanting up and down Oxford St, I found it near impossible. I believe stores have now stocked up more on mustard pieces now that summer is in full swing, whereas I was looking during the end of April/beginning of May. Just as I was about to give up, I ended up coming across what looks like a mustard top. Wrong. In fact, it’s a swimsuit. That didn’t stop me. The store was about to close, with changing rooms already shut so I didn’t have any choice but to wing it (of course I made an enquiry about the return policy lol). So my outfit came alive eventually.

This swimsuit can be sported many different ways, depending on the vibe you’re going for. As for me, I wanted to make it an outfit that can be worn to most places and not just the beach, hence why I opted for white van sk8-hi’s. Me being me, I chose to pair the outfit with these pink frilly socks I came across while standing in the queue of Primark. Denim skirts are my thing this year. Not only do they look feminine, but allow alot of movement compared to midi-style skirts.

Comment below ways you would style this mustard swimsuit (and don’t be shy of using swimwear as normal clothing lol!)

I’ve had a difficult time clkearing my mind in getting mmy thoughts out.

I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems
like thee first 10 to 15 minutes tend tto
be lost simply just tryying tto figure out how tto

    1. My tip will be write when you’re ready to write. This probably contributes to my inconsistency but I only write when I feel like writing. If you’re not in the mood, don’t force it. And another tip, find a good playlist to channel you into the mood but doesn’t distract you! Hope that helps (:
